Pomade
So which one is best
I have tried Dax blue , Dax red , Black n White , Sweet Georgia brown , Layrite , goldmine( brylcreem like) and Murrays
if you do your hair everyday then ide say Sweet Georgia brown but it does need a couple of washes to get it all out but seeing you do your hair everyday only one wash needed
If you are a part timer and only do your hair at weekends or going out nights then ide say Layright cos it washes out easy but does not look slick as Sweet Georgia brown
I have not tried cockgrease X or voodoo yet anyone tried them

Re: Pomade
Im currently using Crew (the one with the green lid) only because a barber recommended it to me. Its ok, but when it runs out I may try something else.
Sweet Georgia Brown sounds good (as I do my hair every day...cant understand those that dont, but each to their own) ...doesnt seem expensive...£3 a tin online...for a tin nearly twice the size of the Crew, which was just over a tenner

Re: Pomade
erm....pomade in general. I normally use the non-wet look type, but I was wondering about everyone else.

is your hair wavey , curly or dry ?
if it is when you have done your hair wet the comb under tap shake a bit and re-comb the sides
let me know if that works

Re: Pomade
Hair isnt wavy, curly or dry.....but it is rather short ...missus gave me a "trim"..and got a bit carried away...oh well at least I know now that Im too old for a curtis
I will give the wet comb idea a go.. cheers.
oh..and its a bit of a bugger to get out when you wash it isnt it .....

Re: Pomade
I keep it in the bathroom cabinet which is about 2 foot or so above a radiator
if its cold it is too stiff like playdoh
in the summer i use the blue tin which is a bit more solid cos the red tin bit to soft and melts a bit under the sun
ive not tried crew

Re: Pomade
DOH!!!! Im a bit slow on the uptake sometimes ..I was thinking back to when I used to visit Tonys in Harrow to get my hair cut..and it dawned on me that he used to put the pomade in his palm and rub them together like mad before applying it to my hair.
So I did the same....and hey presto...its soft and usable...and it gives a great shiny look too........ so Im a happy bunny again...well apart from me making the wife cut my hair and its way too short....but it will grow
